This single cask Scapa is a complex whisky that captures the essence of the beautiful, untamed Isle of Orkney.
A great offering distilled in a single pair of stills on the 28th of February 2000. Matured in the distillery’s warehouses for 19 years in a first fill barrel, #26. The whisky was then drawn from the cask on the 29th of May 2019 before bottling as a natural cask strength of 49.9% abv.
There’s a quality, complex and balanced flavour profile here. Waxy and sweet with toffee apple, raspberry compote, honeyed notes and long soft finish. Certainly a taste to savour and enjoy. One of just 312 bottles.
